West Midland Metro Service resuming Thursday 9 June

Notice from Transport for West Midlands

Following our recent update, we are pleased to confirm that West Midlands Metro services will resume on Thursday 9 June with trams running every 12-15 minutes between Wolverhampton St George’s and Birmingham Bull Street stations.

The resuming of service follows the successful testing of the first trams to undergo body panel replacements, with the number of repaired trams, along with the new trams which have successfully completed their testing and commissioning, meaning that we are able to deliver a consistent service.

We continue to work closely with the manufacturer to accelerate the repair programme and, as more trams become available, we will review the service that we are able to provide.

We are sorry for the inconvenience that has been experienced during this time and would like to thank you and our customers for your continued patience as we return a robust service across the entire network.

All of the latest information will be available on our website and social media. If you would like any further information, please do email  customerrelations@tfwm.org.uk
