Get ready to swap spreadsheets for sack races as the Colmore Community Games returns this September, promising an afternoon of light‑hearted competition, teamwork and plenty of laughs in the heart of Colmore Business District.
Taking place on Friday 4 September 2026, the annual event invites businesses and organisations across Colmore to come together for an afternoon of friendly sporting challenge and teamwork all in the name of a good cause, the Ladywood Community Project.

What games can you expect?
Think school sports day with a Colmore twist. Teams will go head‑to‑head in a series of energetic, inclusive challenges including:
- 🥚 Egg and Spoon Races
- 🥔 Sack Races
- 💪 Tug of War
- 🐛 Caterpillar Relays
- 🦄 The Unicorn Derby
No specialist skills required — just enthusiasm, teamwork and a willingness to have a go. The focus is firmly on participation, fun and friendly rivalry, making this a great event for all abilities.
We also treat all participating teams to a well deserved drink and nibbles after the games as a thank you for taking part and to network with your fellow competitors.
How to take part
Team places are limited, with just 16 teams (made up of six places) available, so early application is strongly encouraged.
Teams can apply by downloading and completing this application form and returning via email to kelsey.dwyer@birminghamcolmore.co.uk.
✅ The deadline for applications is 5 August 2026 (or once all 16 places are filled).
